COVID-19 Swab Testing
A COVID-19 swab test typically provides results within 36–48 hours. This test determines if you have an active COVID-19 infection. During the procedure, a health professional from ApproXie Urgent Care will swab your nose or throat. However, not everyone needs to be tested. Understanding COVID-19 Test Results
- Negative Result: The virus causing COVID-19 was not detected in your system.
- Positive Result: The virus causing COVID-19 was detected.
If you receive a positive result, stay home for at least 14 days, isolate yourself from other family members, rest, and monitor your health. Seek emergency care immediately if you experience difficulty breathing or persistent chest pain.
Please note that no test is 100% accurate; false positives and false negatives can occur.

I visited ApproXie after being sick for several days and not feeling better. I love this place – the doctor that cared for me was wonderful and one of the most attentive and thorough practitioners I have ever seen. I was diagnosed with pneumonia and I think if not for her care I would have ended up in hospital. The nurses are wonderful too and again just so professional, knowledgable, and attentive. Check in is easy and the front desk person was super friendly and made that process easy too. I was in and out in under an hour and that was after having a chest X-Ray and breathing treatment.
